ENPL – Deep experience rooted in various services offered through the past 70+ years
2000 and beyond – ENPL has completed several turnkey marine support projects for bridge construction, ODC movement, jetty construction and various other technically challenging projects across India – We continue to lead as a barge owner and service provider in each of these sectors and are exploring new sectors like entertainment and tourism
- 1957 ‐ The Company stared in the year 1957 mainly in the field of Lighterage in Haldia and Calcutta ports from ship to shore
- 1963 – > Movement of Bulk Cargo from North Bengal with a Tug, M.V. Eastern and a few Dumb Barges
- 1965 – Start of regular service from Kolkata to Guwahati (~1400 km) through the then East Pakistan
- 1969 – One of the earliest companies to start movement of Iron Ore in the Inland Waterways of Goa on a regular basis

1973 – Movement of lash barges from mother ships anchored at Haldia to Kolkata dock and vice versa to the subsequent ship - 1978 – Provision of marine services for Rehan Dam const for AFCON – ENPL’s first construction project
- 1984 – Completion of Tezpur Bridge for HCC – ENPL’s first bridge construction activity
- 1991 – Initiated contract work with Reliance Industries Ltd. at Hazira – contracting to date with 9 vessels running in RIL Jamnagar and 2 vessels in RIL Hazira
- 1994 – Complete building of Self Propelled Barge M.V. Krishnan ‐ 46mX8m, twin screw, 320 HP, with 300 tonnes capacity – Has completed several Over Dimensional Cargo movement projects – modified to 550 tonnes capacity
- 1996 – Landmark Project – Regirdering of Railway Bridge at Ghagra River, UP

ENPL is Eastern Navigation Private Limited, an inland waterways company based in Kolkata, India with over 60 years of project experience on inland water transport

- End to end marine solution for mid stream construction, including bridges and towers

Showcase project experience includes
- Approx 4.5 lac tonne dredged with Backhoe, Grab and Cutter Suction Dredgers and dumped with Split Hopper Barges and Spud Barge at Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
- Construction of World’s Tallest Lattice Structure 235m power transmission tower.
- Installation of 142m long Railway Bridge Enabling Girder for new Jubilee Bridge.
- Over 150 ODCs transported in NW1 and NW2.
- Turnkey contract for Reliance Jamnagar jetty maintenance (incl. Lloyds survey) for the past 15+ years.
- Company is self sufficient in the entire lifecycle of its vessels starting from the manufacturing of vessels, to owning and operation, maintenance and upgrading of vessels with inhouse facilities.
- Company has full experience of designing and fabrication of special beams and stools as and when required.

Director and CEOWith 35+ years of experience in Inland Waterways Transport, Logistics, Infrastructure, Basant has led the formation and growth of a 500+ strong team of crew members that man ENPL’s vessels bringing the highest level of skill and flexibility to our site operations.
Director and CFOWith 10 years at ENPL, Mukul has successfully led planning and execution of several projects across India along with deploying modern management principles and tools in the organization to turbocharge its growth ensuring ENPL’s position as a leader in the industry. Prior to ENPL, Mukul worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Co., Houston Office (3 years) – He worked across several functions in capital projects worth > USD 20 billion, and made assessments and recommendations on a Oil and Gas portfolio worth > USD 6 billion.
Vice President, OperationsWith 6 years at ENPL, Piyush has bought a dynamism to operations at multiple project sites and within the organization with a focus on increased production at our workshop and reduced costs with several strategic vendor negotiations across the country. Prior to ENPL, Piyush worked as a Business Analyst at ZS Associates, Gurgaon (1 year) where he deployed modeling and analyses supported strategy building and cost rationalization for 7 Fortune 50 companies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
